PRESTON GERTNER

Preston Gertner is an Associate at Commercial Industrial Properties (CIP), where he specializes in industrial tenant representation, land sales, acquisitions, and advisory services throughout Central Texas. He works closely with users, investors, and landowners to identify strategic real estate opportunities, with a particular focus on off-market sourcing, market positioning, and creating competitive advantages for clients in rapidly evolving markets.

Preston began his career at CIP as a broker assistant, supporting senior brokers in market research, underwriting, transaction coordination, and client communications before transitioning into his current role. That experience provided him with a strong foundation in deal execution, market analysis, and the relationship-driven nature of commercial real estate.

Originally from Houston, Preston moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas at Austin, earning his B.S. in Corporate Communications, where he developed a strong background in negotiation, strategic communication, and business development.

Outside of work, Preston enjoys staying active through tennis and pick-up basketball, attending anything related to Texas Longhorns athletics, and taking advantage of Austin’s renowned live music scene.
